§ 10-366. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Gas piping work means the construction, reconstruction, installation, alteration, extension, or repair of gas piping or gas burner systems.

    Mechanical work means the construction, reconstruction, installation, repair or alteration of any oil burner, stoker, steam or hot water heating system, mechanical warm air heating and air conditioning system, or refrigeration system.

    Person, applicant, registrant, licensee means a business enterprise employing one or more individuals engaged in the work identified by this article.

    Plumbing work means the construction, reconstruction, alteration, extension, or repair of any plumbing work or building drainage, or connecting plumbing work with the city sanitary sewer system or septic tank or water system or the installation of plumbing fixtures.

    Water conditioning work means the installation of water softener and conditioning equipment.
