The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the
meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates
a different meaning:
Fire protection system
means approved devices, equipment and systems or combinations of systems used to detect
a fire, activate an alarm, extinguish or control a fire, control or manage smoke and
products of a fire or any combination thereof.
