§ 28-177. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Lot means the basic development unit, for purposes of chapter 36. A lot may consist of one parcel or two or more adjoining parcels under single ownership or control and used for a principal use permitted by this Code.

    Residential equivalent factor (REF) means one residential equivalent factor is defined as the ratio of the average volume of runoff generated by one acre of a land use to the average volume of runoff generated by one acre of typical single-family residential land, during a standard one year rainfall event, all as determined by the engineer.
